Fixing techniques
To guarantee safety is very important the fixing system of the railings, not less than the standards of the structure itself.
For this reason Mapier has paid close attention to the fixing systems, tested by us, that result not invasive but extremely efficient, to solve the problems about all the constructive typologies and to guarantee the highest performance of resistance to horizontal and vertical load.
Our fixings can be on floor, front floor, or both, according to the necessities and consistence of materials, as shown in our technical sheets.
On your request, we will provide our assistance during the projecting phase, during works in progress, or in case of renovations.
Fixings – Upright “A”
For models: Bernini, Brunelleschi, Raffaello, Giotto, Borromini
1. FIXING ON SLAB / FLOOR
Drilling of the horizontal plan, application of bituminous sealing, installation of uprights with anchor pins. The pins are already predisposed inside the uprights, to ensure an optimal seal.
This technique is applicable both on slab and on floor.
2. FIXING ON FLOOR AND FRONT SLAB
Drilling of the horizontal/vertical plan, application of bituminous sealing, installation of uprights with angle brackets and dowels in stainless steel, that allow the adjustment of the upright, and in the same time provide an excellent resistance to horizontal stress.
3. FIXING FRONT SLAB / UNDER THE FLOOR
Drilling of the vertical and horizontal plan, installation of uprights with angle brackets and dowels in stainless steel, and application of the coating material.
This fixing type provides an improvement both esthetic and in terms of sealing, because the brackets are positioned under the floor.
4. FIXING FRONT SLAB
Drilling of the vertical plan, installation of uprights with angle brackets and dowels in stainless steel, that allow the adjustment of the upright, and in the same time provide an excellent resistance to horizontal stress.
Fixings – Upright “B”
For models: Caravaggio, Donatello, Palladio, Leonardo
1. FIXING ON SLAB / FLOOR
Drilling of the horizontal plan, application of bituminous sealing, installation of uprights with anchor pins. The pins are already predisposed inside the uprights, to ensure an optimal seal.

Fixings – Bramante
Fixings for model “Bramante”
1. FIXING ON FLOOR
Drilling of the floor, fixing of aluminium profiles with dowels, after application of bituminous sealing, installation and adjustment of the glasses, fixing of the finish carter.
2. FIXING FRONT SLAB “BRAMANTE”
Drilling of the vertical plan, fixing of the plate on the front with dowels that also allow the adjustment, installation of the glasses, fixing of the counter plate and subsequent application of the finish carter.
3. INSERTION FIXING
Drilling of the vertical plan, application of aluminium profiles, installation and adjustment of glasses with wedges and fixing of cover strips.
